About Me

My name is Jessica Holmes, I am thrilled to announce that I have officially filed to run for a position on the Kilgore ISD Board of Trustees. It is with great enthusiasm, pride, and a deep commitment to our community's education that I am seeking our community’s support in this endeavor.

I’m a proud graduate of Kilgore High School Class of 2007 (and my husband is also a graduate of KHS Class of 2005), so I have a deep-rooted connection to Kilgore’s school district and a strong desire to contribute to its success. My daughter, Evelyn, is a student at Chandler Elementary, and my son, Hayden, will start Kindergarten next year at Kilgore Primary School. Raised by a family of educators, I believe in the importance of education and understand its impact on our community’s future.

If elected to the Kilgore ISD Board of Trustees, I will bring a unique perspective - combining my experiences as a former KISD student and a parent of current KISD students - to help navigate our district's challenges and opportunities. I am dedicated to working collaboratively with educators, parents, and community members to create an environment that fosters academic excellence, inclusivity, and student success.

Through my tenacity and dedication, I believe I can continue to contribute positively to the growth and success of our school district. I would appreciate your support and trust as I begin this journey. Together, we can positively impact our students’ lives and shape a brighter future for Kilgore.
